I have a very similar story. I ended a very long marriage because I could not take another day of playing the concubine to my spouse, and his mother being the real wife. It is called emotional incest because the feelings although very odd and a bit creepy mirror those of a spousal relationship. I finally realized the same thing that you did, there was a deep seated jealousy for my relationship that she craved and never was able to have. It's quite sad really for everyone involved. I have come to really abhor the "mamas boy syndrome," because I know that any person that has the unfortune to be with these men are going to suffer greatly!
