Thanks for your reply Michael. I have heard and seen this written many times. “You just need to pick better.” Although this has some partial truth to it, that is not the solution. It is unfortunate that the pickings are slim out there right now and the onus for making this right is on both men and women. The culture; Black culture is inundated with people who feel that only getting their needs met is top priority. So- called gold digging women who are only after “the bag” and what it provides, and men who primarily want sex , food and a place to lay their head temporarily is pervasive. Yes, our Whole Culture is in crisis! Me first, I got to get mine and whoever stands in the way can and will be dealt with is the word of the day. Maybe if you see a brother or sister going down this rabbit hole of foolishness you can offer some good advice as to why it is not a ideal idea. Some people will never get it, but we can’t give up trying. A whole community, it’s viability and it’s growth are at stake. “A house divided against itself can never stand.”
