Love the first quote! It is so true. It's only when you reach a certain level of maturity that you realize that being a part of the in -crowd is so overrated. You realize that basking in solitude is so rewarding for mind and spirit. I think that being considered the " weird one" is perfectly fine. I actually own a tee that says, "weird is cool." It just means that people think that you're different which in my book means you're able to think, act, and be yourself without worrying about others' opinions of you. Being a loner, an hsp (highly sensitive person), or introvert has many benefits; not the least of them often being peace of mind.
