I got you! I've been there too. In my late teens, I was once told by someone who later became a friend," I didn't like you at first, until I got to know you." Well shut the front door! You mean you realized that you had to make an effort to see me, and get to know me before making a rash negative assessment of who I am. Thankfully, even back then I didn't worry about people's fickleness, or their lack of their own unawareness. What's that old cliché about not judging a book by it's cover?! Great story!
