I don't generally follow celebrity anything. I am not one for the hype , or all the pomp and circumstance that comes with being in the limelight. What concerns me the most is the quasi brainwashing of many black women. How are you caping for people who most assuredly would not cape for you if you needed it. I have never heard of these chefs, but if the accusations are true they should be held to the same standards that anyone else would be held to. Being a black male does not give you carte blanche to abuse those who work for, or with you, those who have a business relationship with you, or the customers who are the reasons you make any money at all. This blind following of people reminds me of a certain right- leaning political party where the people who are part of said party, and it's constituents will generally support, and go to the mat for them no matter how foul, or disingenuous they are. No matter how heinous, how unkind, or dead wrong they prove to be they're able to secure millions of people who would gladly follow them off a cliff if need be. As you alluded to, the Issa Rae statement of; "I'm rooting for everyone who's black" does not apply here. Just as it is wrong to let people of non-color get away with proverbial murder, the same holds true for people of color. Black women open your minds and your eyes. There are good, upstanding, and real black men out there, these two just don't seem to fit the description.
