Hi Jesse

Thank you for not jumping down the throat of the writer because she expressed an opinion that more than a few Black women agree with. The unfortunate trope that some want to use of "it's not all black men" is so tired. My thought is, if the shoe doesn't fit don't try to wear it. The scenarios that she described in this piece have been experienced by many women either in their own lives, by a family member, or by someone else they know.

The ongoing lack of accountability can only truly be addressed by speaking with the individuals who are perpetrating the acts. Only they can give you answers into what has motivated them to not be concerned with the welfare of their own progeny. I totally agree that Black folks have a tough road to hoe in almost every aspect of life but leaving your children without the tools they need to navigate this world is just so sad, wrong, and mostly inexcusable.
