Agreed. There are always going to be those who are over- zealous, and with the wrong behavior and attitude. Those “caricatures” as you put it are not what this article is speaking about. I believe this author is trying to describe the difference between being “white” in hue and being “white” in mindset. Again, it’s a question of staying in absolute power, and in a place of superiority.
